I went up the road to Pat Lake, then paddled around the lake.    On the way down, I turned up the FSR and parked at the corrals.     I hiked a loop route, finding caches put out by Filster and HE&Lucy, all micros in trees (with thanks).    At the far end of the loop, I hiked farther out and placed a new geocache above a seasonal pond.

Hidden in a rock alcove on top of a rocky bluff overlooking the “pond”….

This was a hot day in the dry hills.    I have hiked this area extensively, but mostly in spring and fall.   There are no geocaches past mine, heading east so it may be a good area for some more hides…
