We stayed overnight in Boston Bar then hiked the trail to and over Alexandra Bridge in the morning. In the afternoon we did the Thacker Mountain Trail above Hope.
Stein River Trail
We traveled to Lytton, took the reaction ferry across the river and drove to the Stein River Trailhead. We hiked up the trail and back on a sunny day. A wonderful place next to the robust river, our 4th year in a row.
On the Chain Gang
Difficult work – digging out a retaining wall of Allan blocks (85 lbs each) on a steep slope then moving them for a future project.
Heffley Lake
A paddle on the east end of Heffley Lake on a mild and calm morning. Another perfect outing.
Edith Lake
A morning kayak outing around Edith Lake in fine conditions. 
Sunnybrae Bluffs and the Reinecker Creek Trails
We drove east to the Sunnybrae-Canoe Point Road on the north side of the Salmon Arm of Shuswap Lake. We parked at Sunnybrae Park and hiked the Sunnybrae Bluffs Trail. Then we drove east to Herald Provincial Park to hike Margaret Falls and the Reinecker Creek Trails.
Inks Lake
A windy morning paddle on Inks Lakes with loops around the lake amongst many ducks and other birds. Day 12 for 2026.
Kalamalka Lake Hike
We hiked about 11 km (4 hours) in a large loop in Kalamalka Provincial Park on a sunny spring morning.
Big Pine Loop
A hike in Kenna Cartwright Park on a series of trails to make a loop route. Some snow on the trees and cool, but great conditions for a nature hike. 
Peterson Creek Ramble
A very windy and cool day, but I hiked trails in Peterson Creek for a 4.3 km loop route.
Paul Lake Kayaking
I kayaked from the west end of the lake out past Gibraltar Rock and back on the same shoreline. A sunny, quiet, and calm day for a paddle.

A hike in the Ironmask Hills on a windy and cool spring day. An area not yet open so I went cross-country over the hills.

North Trapp Lake Paddle
On a sunny and calm spring morning I paddled the north end of Trapp Lake. I had kayaked the south end of the lake the week before.

Barnes Lake Hike
On a sunny spring day we hiked the Barnes Lake Trails, a 9.5 km loop route through grasslands and open forest off the Robbins Range Road.

Six Mile Loops
On a sunny spring day I drove up the bumpy road to Pat Lake. I kayaked twice around the lake, once in each direction, then secured the boat and hiked around the lake for a triple loop day.
