Roche, Black, and Tulip Lakes
A day of activity in Roche Lake Provincial Park. I kayaked Roche Lake, then hiked to Black Lake and back, then did the walk into Tulip Lake on a fine day. ≅
Dallas – Barnhartvale Trails
A 7.7 km hike in a large loop through the Dallas – Barnhartvale Trails on a cloudy day. Quiet on the trails and a great day in the open forests. 
Gils Trail to Tod Lake
A hike on Tod Mountain Trails from mid-station > Gils Trail > Tod Lake > Saddleback Trail > Whyte Bowl > Elevation Trail > mid-station, about 8 km on a sunny day. 
Paul Lake PHD
From the Paul Lake beach, I kayaked west and back, but stopped for a hike on the lakeside trail on a calm and sunny day. 
East Rim in the Rain
A 2 hour hike on the East Rim Trail and some side trails near Peterson Creek, all in the rain (its been a long time coming). 
McConnell Lake and Stake Trails
An early start to first paddle McConnell Lake, then a hike on the Stake Lake Trails. 
Paul Lake – Kayak and Hike
An early paddle on Paul Lake from the west end to the Gibraltar Rock area, then a hike on the lakeshore trail and back. 
Isobel Lake and Area Trails
I kayaked Isobel Lake, then hiked to find some geocaches on area trails at the lake and off the Grasslands Community Trail. 
Pat Lake and the Six Mile Hills
A paddle on Pat Lake, then a different hike in the Six Mile Hills on the east side. 
Clearwater Lake
A long day. I kayaked up Clearwater Lake for 6 km to Diver’s Bluff Marine Campsite, then hiked the steep trail up to Eagle’s View, then back down and back. A 16 km route on a sunny and smoke-free day. Clearwater Lake is a favorite spot to kayak, one I try to paddle every year. 
Red Lake
A kayak outing from the north end of Red Lake, followed by a hike on backroads.
Stake and Coaster
Twice around Stake Lake in good conditions first, then a hike on trails off Chuwhels Mountain Road, including the Coaster Trail.
Mud Lake Loop
A longer exploration hike through the hills in a large forest loop around Mud Lake. 
Inks Lake Forest
An exploration hike through the forest to the west of Inks Lake. Smoky and dry.
Outer Bush Lake Route
A hike in the south end of the Bush Lake area, exploring nature, and geocaching. 
A Smoky Forest Hike
It was less smoky up in the higher area forests near McConnell Lake on an exploratory 1.7 hr. hike and geocaching outing. 
Outer Inks
A hike through the forest on the Outer Inks Trails, past Dam Lake, and back on a loop route.
Six Mile Lakes
By using the website firesmoke.ca, I was able to determine that the area with the least smoke was near Savona and so I drove west and decided to hike in the Six Mile Lakes area. Blue skies over dry hills awaited, so I decided to hike around Pat Lake and then over to Morgan Lake, and then back on a partial loop route. 
Mt. Embleton Hike
A 6 km hike on the Mt. Embleton Trails on a warm, sunny day with a group.
